  • Have completed or be on track to complete the Board of Regents High School Core curriculum
  • Have a cumulative high school GPA of at least 2.0 (on 4.0 scale)
  • Meet both of the following ACT/SAT sub-score requirements
    • ACT English sub-score greater than or equal to an 18 (SAT Writing and Language 25)
    • ACT Math sub-score greater than or equal to a 19 (SAT Math 500)
  • Cumulative CORE GPA of at least 2.0 (on 4.0 scale) OR an ACT composite score of at least a 20 (SAT score of 1020)


  • Option 1 - Meet the in-state student requirements listed (left) for appropriate entry term.
  • Option 2 - Have at least 17 of the 19 units of the Louisiana Board of Regents High School Core Curriculum, have a minimum cumulative and core GPA of 2.0 (on 4.0 scale), have an ACT composite score of at least 20 (or SAT equivalent), and have at least an 18 English ACT sub-score and a 19 Math ACT sub-score (or SAT equivalent).
  • Option 3 - Have at least a 23 ACT (or SAT equivalent) and have at least an 18 English ACT sub-score and a 19 math ACT sub-score (or SAT equivalent). Must have at least a 2.0 high school GPA.

Applicants who are residents in other states may be awarded an out-of-state scholarship if they meet the following criteria:

  • First-time freshmen (under 12 credits of college-level work completed):
    • ACT of 20 (or equivalent SAT), or 
    • Cumulative high school GPA of a 2.0 or higher, and
    • Have no need for remedial coursework


  • The application deadline is December 1 for spring enrollment.
